Shareholder Steven Miano recently spoke with Bloomberg Law about the potential impact of a second Trump administration on Biden-era water regulations. In the article, Steve highlighted the vulnerability of key regulations involving the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) protections, the Clean Water Act Section 401 state certification rule, and perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) standards, under the incoming administration’s likely agenda. 

Steve, who chairs the firm’s environmental practice group, emphasized that the Trump administration may prioritize deregulation efforts and noted, “My general view is that there will be broad implications for the programs under the Office of Water with the Trump administration.”
