John Summers spoke to the organization of President Judges of Courts of Common Pleas on June 5, 2023. John was part of a panel discussion on “Ethical Mangagement of the Court,” which covered the responsibility and duties of the President Judge when they are aware of an active investigation, but charges have not been filed. This includes the duty to report when becoming aware of conduct that violates the code but has not yet been reported and what the President Judge can and should do in regard to cases, other members of the bench and the public.
