In the latest setback for New Jersey’s burgeoning offshore wind industry, the Environmental Protection Agency recently remanded a Clean Air Act permit for the construction of 195 turbines off the coast of Atlantic City. The unusual move is consistent with the Trump administration’s push for more traditional energy source, like oil, gas and coal, and its push against renewable energy sources.   

Shareholder Steven Miano spoke with WHYY about the impact of the EPA’s decision to pull the permit, as well as other executive actions affecting the energy sector. 

Generally pulling permits like this is unusual but, given the executive order and recent actions by the Trump administration, Steve said he isn’t surprised.
