David M. Scolnic, a shareholder in the business/corporate and real estate practice groups at Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, has been appointed Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law’s Title Insurance Committee for the term beginning January 1, 2011. In his role as Chair, Scolnic will be responsible for monitoring and advocating changes in Pennsylvania relating to title insurance. He will also work with the committee to promote the interests of staff counsel, foster quality professional conduct and provide appropriate service to its members.
“I am excited to take on my new role as Chair of the Title Insurance Committee,” said Scolnic. “In particular, I hope to be an advocate for consumers of title insurance – businesses and individuals – making sure their voices are heard.”
Scolnic is a seasoned attorney with more than 25 years experience in public and private sector real estate and business transactions.
