Shareholder Becca Nayak will be a panelist for “Protecting LGBTQ+ Families: Legal Essentials for Family Formation and Estate Planning” on March 20, 2025. This is the first in a series of programs focused on ways to safeguard LGBTQ+-led families in an evolving political landscape. Panelists will explore some key legal strategies for ensuring LGBTQ+ families are protected. Topics include estate planning tools such as wills, powers of attorney and health care proxies, and family-building protections such as confirmatory adoption and second-parent adoption. Experienced professionals will provide practical guidance on securing parental rights, creating inheritance plans and managing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association and Philadelphia Family Pride partnered to create this series.
