Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin Shareholder Gerald L. Shoemaker has been named to the 2011-2012 class of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute. The Bar Leadership Institute (BLI) is designed to provide emerging leaders with an opportunity to learn about the PBA while actively participating in key meetings. Participants are paired with an experienced and committed mentor while they learn about the day-to-day operations, governance, resources, and staffing of the association.
A shareholder in the Norristown office, Shoemaker focuses his practice on domestic relations issues, including equitable distribution, alimony, custody, and support matters. He is a member of the American and Montgomery County Bar Associations and the Nicholas A. Cipriani Family Law Inn of Court. Shoemaker is a frequent lecturer for both the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and he has been named a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine each year since 2008.
Shoemaker graduated in 2000 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was selected by the faculty to the Order of the Barristers. He received his BA from Duquesne University in 1997.
