Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller shareholder Richard J. Goldstein has been awarded the H. Richard Dollinger Community Service Award by the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. This award is the Federation’s highest honor and is given to an individual who has provided outstanding service and leadership in the Jewish community as well as dedication to Jewish communal life. He will receive his award at the Federation’s 89th annual meeting, on October 23, 2011.
Goldstein concentrates his practice in real estate and land use law in the firm’s Cherry Hill and Philadelphia offices. He has more than 30 years of experience representing developers and lenders, and has been involved in notable developments such as The Franklin Mills Shopping Mall, Neshaminy Mall, Garden State Pavilions Shopping Center, Cherry Hill Mall, Voorhees Town Center, Moorestown Mall, and several local hospitals.
Goldstein is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and a former seven-year member and six-year Chair of the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Township of Cherry Hill. His community activities include service as President, Vice President, and member of the Executive Committee, Budget/Allocations and Planning Committees, and the Board of Trustees of the Federation of Jewish Agencies of Southern New Jersey. He also served two terms as General Chairman of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey’s Annual Campaign. He is a member of the Ambassador’s Circle of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
Goldstein is a graduate of Temple University School of Law (JD, 1977), where he was awarded the J. Howard Reber Memorial Award for excellence in writing for theTemple Law Quarterly. He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University (BA, 1974).
