On April 25, 2018, Hangley Aronchick shareholders John Stapleton and Jason Levine, along with Marcel Pratt, Acting Solicitor of the City of Philadelphia, and Julia Pudlin, Assistant Deputy General Counsel of Comcast, presented to a full capacity audience at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s 2018 In-House Counsel Conference in Philadelphia. Their ethics CLE course, “Avoid Making Headlines for the Wrong Reasons: Ethical Issues When Making Statements in the Media,” concerned issues arising from attorneys’ extrajudicial, public statements, including how both in-house and outside counsel can better navigate the 24-hour news cycle and constant barrage of social media without running afoul of relevant rules of professional conduct.
